Literature Text

I am the fate that binds you
And it tears you up inside
To know your future set in stone
And left no place left to hide

I am the fate that binds you
You simply have no choice
No hopes or dreams, plots or schemes
You don't even have a voice.

For every step you've taken, I've preordained your move
Every whisper, every breath, written by my hands
Every desperate slash with your sword
Has been by my command

For every step you've taken, I've preordained your move
Every word, every scream, the curses and the damns
Every heart-felt plea to God
Has been within my plans

So listen to your little dreams
And hope for any chance
To escape this destiny of yours
By praying for deliverance

Listen to your little dreams
And hope for something more
Any chance to break your free
Though it simply binds you more

From the day of your birth I've kept you
And you are always mine
No lineage or bloodline now
Can ever turn this tide

From the day of your birth I've kept you
Though you've never known your keeper
Imagined yourself free and beloved
Now left as my soul reaver

I am the fate that binds you
Though you look away
And pray inside your little mind
For some asylum, someday

I am the fate that binds you
Freedom's but a mime
While you proclaim free will
You have always, always been mine

You are the fate that binds you
This is the dream you sought
Your dreams and hopes are empty
This is what you've bought

You are the fate that binds you
Though you haven't got a clue
Your life and death were in your hands
The one to blame is you.
What shackles do -you- wear?

Just for info, a poem about our favorite Soul Reaver, from LoK
